8-1 Multiplying Monomials


This section will teach you how to multiply monomials and how to simplify expressions involving the
powers of monomials. You will also learn to identify monomials, which is a number, variable, or product of a
number and one or more variables. An expression involving the division of variables is not a monomial.
Monomials that are real numbers are called constants.
